The 32 bit version installs without issue but all the documentation suggests the 64 bit version should work.

Fire tv os is 32 bit so it runs 32 bit apps. 64 bit kodi works on firetv2 but not the 4k stick. For the new firestick 4k you need to download the 32bit version. I m sideloading using adblink.

In reality that s only partially the case because while the fire tv 3 has a 64 bit cpu the current version of fire os 6 running on the device is actually a 32 bit operating system.
