Fill Gap Under Door Threshold Cement

There are a number of weatherproofing issues we need to address but the most urgent is the concrete sill under the door which has been crumbling for a while and presumably is the source of our leak.

There s a wide ugly gap between my concrete outdoor patio slab and the slab my house is built on. We ve noticed water damage in our sunroom which is bordered on one side by our concrete patio. Because of this the downhill side has about 1 4 3 8 gap. I m trying to determine whether to caulk the crack or fill it with some cement based patching.
