If you are using concrete crack filler protect it from rain and water for a minimum of 24 hours.

Gaps in concrete whether they result from cracks in the slab or occur between the slab and an adjacent surface can serve as openings that allow dirt moisture or insects into your home.
However that s not the only thing happening.
It works perfectly as a concrete expansion joint sealant.
A thicker application may require more time to dry.
Use a smooth even motion filling the crack flush with the surface beveling it if it s against the house.
The water being blocked by the sealant will find another gap in your foundation to enter the home.
There s no need to pay a contractor however.
The advantage of this over ordinary cement based products is that it copes with.
It wont crack or shrink and it works i have used it several times for sealing a wall to floor joint.

Snip the opening of the tube at a 30 degree angle making the opening the same size as your gap.
